Volleyball Recap: Urbana University Illineks vs. Salt Fork Storm

Urbana University was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Salt Fork Storm. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Illineks of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August.

Urbana University was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-22.

Ava Ringstrom was her usual excellent self, getting five digs, three kills, and two aces for Salt Fork. Ringstrom has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more assists the last 11 times she's played. Rain Pitlik was another key player, getting six kills, five digs, and a block.

Urbana University's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Salt Fork, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-12.
