Basketball Recap: Hammond Bishop Noll Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

If Illiana Christian wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Hammond Bishop Noll, they should've done a better job of containing Isaiah Manley. The Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors came out on top against the Illiana Christian Vikings by a score of 61-48 on Thursday thanks in part to Manley, who posted 30 points. Those 30 points gave him a new career-high.

Illiana Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Noah Sons, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Post, who scored eight points and nine boards.

The victory made it two in a row for Hammond Bishop Noll and bumps their season record up to 7-11. As for Illiana Christian, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Hammond Bishop Noll wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-64 loss against Hammond Central on the 28th. As for Illiana Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-50 win against Timothy Christian on the 25th.
