Baseball Recap: Northampton Comes Up Short

Northampton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Holyoke Purple Knights. That's two games in a row now that the Blue Devils have lost by exactly four runs.

Northampton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Holyoke, their win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.

Northampton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-0 loss against East Longmeadow on the 22nd. As for Holyoke, they have also already played their next match, an 11-4 defeat against Belchertown on the 22nd.
