Volleyball Recap: Reed-Custer Takes a Loss

Reed-Custer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Manteno Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Comets of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-6.

Reed-Custer's offense was headlined by Miley Morris and Mackenzie Foote, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Reese Brown and her four assists.

Reed-Custer's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Manteno, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Reed-Custer will take on Marquette at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Manteno, they will challenge Grace Christian Academy at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
