Basketball Game Preview: United South Panthers vs. United Longhorns

The United South Panthers will face off against the United Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, United South lost to Alexander on the road by a 74-59 margin. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 258th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 64th).

Meanwhile, United ended up a good deal behind Alexander on Tuesday and lost 87-70. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (69), the Longhorns still had to take the loss.

United South's defeat dropped their record down to 20-12. As for United, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-10.
