Volleyball Recap: Prairie Mustangs vs. Fleming Wildcats
Prairie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Fleming Wildcats, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
The final score came out to 25-19, 25-13, 25-11.
Fleming can attribute much of their success to Brooke Schaefer, who had 16 digs. Schaefer is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last eight games she's played.
Prairie's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Fleming, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
After both having extra time off, Prairie and Briggsdale will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Briggsdale will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Prairie surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fleming, they are taking a road trip to challenge Otis at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
