While St. Bede's victory against Putnam County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bruins narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Panthers 2-0. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Not much got past Macy Strauch, who gave up just eight hits to keep Putnam County off the board. Strauch has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
