Basketball Game Preview: Plainfield North Tigers vs. Yorkville Foxes

The Plainfield North Tigers will challenge the Yorkville Foxes at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams were dealt some close losses in their previous games and are determined not to let this one get away.

Plainfield North is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Saturday. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-58 heartbreaker at the hands of Nazareth Academy. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Tigers came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Roadrunners are ranked 290th).

Meanwhile, Yorkville suffered their closest loss since January 30, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Oswego East by a score of 51-48.

Plainfield North's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Yorkville, their loss dropped their record down to 13-15.
