Softball Game Preview: Warsaw Tigers vs. New Haven Bulldogs

The Warsaw Tigers will face off against the New Haven Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. New Haven took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Warsaw, who comes in off a win.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Warsaw and East Noble have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Tigers came out on top against the Knights by a score of 6-3.

Bayleigh Sleeth was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Raegan Robinson, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.

South Adams hit New Haven with a 11-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs came up short against the Starfires, falling 20-3. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Starfires: they've now lost eight in a row.

New Haven saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Jewell, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

New Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Warsaw, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
