            Baseball Preview: Trinity Presbyterian Wildcats vs. Tallassee Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            The Trinity Presbyterian Wildcats will face off against the Tallassee Tigers at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a eight-game winning streak alive.
It was a proper cat-fight when Trinity Presbyterian challenged Chilton County on Monday. The Wildcats walked away with  a   13-8  victory over the Tigers.
Meanwhile, Tallassee got the win against Percy Julian  on Tuesday by a conclusive  14-4. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six  runs or more this season.
 Clay Ingram looked comfortable as he  struck out eight batters over  three innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   two  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Bryson Rigsby was a standout: he scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of  Konner Taunton, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Tallassee pushed their record up to 14-8-2 with the  win, which was their seventh straight  at home. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Trinity Presbyterian, their record is now 18-7.
 Trinity Presbyterian came up short against Tallassee when the teams last played  back in April of 2017, falling  7-3. Can the Wildcats avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
