The Eagle Rock Eagles will challenge the Port of Los Angeles Polar Bears at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Eagle Rock comes in on six and Port of Los Angeles on 14.
Eagle Rock is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Chavez a 3-0 shutout.

Not much got past Marcella Terrazas, who gave up just three hits to keep Chavez off the board. Terrazas has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Melissa Terrazas was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Port of Los Angeles posted their closest victory since April 25th on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Verdugo Hills.
Alyssa Setka spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up ten Ks.
On the hitting side, Port of Los Angeles saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rochelle Watkins, who went 2-for-3 with one run.
Eagle Rock's record now sits at 18-6. As for Port of Los Angeles, their record is now 17-4.
Wednesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Eagle Rock has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .447. However, it's not like Port of Los Angeles struggles in that department as they've averaged .556. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Eagle Rock came up short against Port of Los Angeles in their previous meeting back in May of 2017, falling 5-0. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
