Baseball Recap: Northeast's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Northeast was the 6-2 winner over Tarpon Springs when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Northeast took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tarpon Springs on Wednesday.

Northeast got a good showing from Cooper White, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. White has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Michael Marley was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Noah Rodriquez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Northeast's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-8. As for Tarpon Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northeast will face off against Boca Ciega at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tarpon Springs, they will challenge Lakewood at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
