Baseball Recap: Salem Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Salem can now relate to. They came up short against the St. John Paul II Lions on Wednesday, falling 7-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Witches were not able to get on the board.

Salem has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. As for St. John Paul II, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 24-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Lions beat Salem by a score of 7-0 later that day.
