Classical Academy barely beat Pacific Ridge the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Caimans blew past the Firebirds 3-0 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Caimans in their matchups with the Firebirds: they've now won eight in a row.

While Classical Academy might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Pacific Ridge scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-21, 25-23.

Dane Roblee paced Classical Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Roblee got some help from Joshua Marion and his 12 assists. Marion was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Classical Academy's victory bumped their record up to 20-10. As for Pacific Ridge, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-13.

Looking ahead, Classical Academy will host Escondido Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pacific Ridge, they will be taking part in a tournament against Victory Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
