 Scott entered their tilt with Grant County with three consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with  an   8-4  win over the Grant County Braves  on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Scott also won the last time the pair played  back in May of 2023.
  Porter Huston made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. Huston was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances.
 In other batting news, Scott got a  massive  performance out of  Brady Smith, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4. Smith is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last four games he's  played.  Andrew Stretch was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Scott's victory was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.8 runs per game. As for Grant County, they have  not been sharp recently as the team has  lost three of their last four matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record  this season.
 Scott is on the road again  on Saturday to play Mercer County at 1:00  p.m. Scott's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1  runs per game  this season, so Mercer County's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Grant County, they will stay at home for another  game and welcome Villa Madonna at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday.
