Basketball Recap: Surprise Valley Comes Up Short

Surprise Valley lost against Happy Camp back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Surprise Valley Hornets received a blow as they fell 45-26 to the Happy Camp Indians.

Despite the defeat, Surprise Valley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Wyatt Carpenter posted 15 points.

Happy Camp found their leader in freshman Byron Roberts, who earned 27 points. Another player making a difference was Jean Wright, who put up seven points.

Surprise Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Surprise Valley has already played their next match, a 51-43 victory against Herlong on the 5th. As for Happy Camp, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-42 win against Big Valley on the 6th.
