Basketball Game Preview: Hamilton Township Rangers vs. Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs

Hamilton Township is 0-10 against Bloom-Carroll since February of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Hamilton Township Rangers will welcome the Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Hamilton Township will be strutting in after a victory while Bloom-Carroll will be coming in after a defeat.

If Bloom-Carroll heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Hamilton Township took over last week. Hamilton Township came out on top against Lakewood by a score of 47-37 on Friday. Given the Rangers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 312th, while the Lancers are ranked 627th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bloom-Carroll lost to Tri-Valley on the road by a 45-31 margin on Saturday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hamilton Township will need focus on slowing down Davynn Miller, one of several Bloom-Carroll players who made an impact when they last played. She went 5 of 12 on her way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tessa Brooks, who posted six points and five steals.

Bloom-Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Hamilton Township, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6.

Hamilton Township was taken down by Bloom-Carroll 59-17 when the teams last played back in February. Thankfully for Hamilton Township, Emily Bratton (who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
