Basketball Game Preview: Estelline/Hendricks vs. Castlewood Warriors

Estelline/Hendricks is 0-6 against Castlewood since February of 2019 but things could change on Friday. Estelline/Hendricks will venture away from home to challenge the Castlewood Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Estelline/Hendricks knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matches -- so hopefully Castlewood likes a good challenge.

Estelline/Hendricks will bounce into Friday's contest after beating DeSmet, who they had gone 0-7 against in their seven prior meetings. Estelline/Hendricks came out on top against DeSmet by a score of 75-64 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Castlewood entered their tilt with Sioux Valley on Tuesday with five consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with six. They took down the Cossacks 61-42. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Cossacks are ranked 51st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Estelline/Hendricks is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.1 points over those games. As for Castlewood, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3.

Estelline/Hendricks was taken down by Castlewood 63-19 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Estelline/Hendricks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
