Central Catholic has gone 9-1 against Seneca Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Vikings will challenge the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Central Catholic is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.
Central Catholic is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Norwin: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Vikings blew the Knights out of the water with a 35-6 final score. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 21-0.
Jayden Alexander was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 109 yards and one touchdown. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 65 yards.
Another reason for the win was Central Catholic's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for ten sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Ashton Blatt and Manny Regus, who racked up six sacks between them. Another thorn in Norwin's side was Zach Gleason, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made seven total tackles.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seneca Valley). They blew past Hempfield Area 47-8 on Friday. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Seneca Valley found their leader in sophomore Brody Horn, who threw for 78 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 38 yards.
Seneca Valley's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-5. As for Central Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
Central Catholic took their win against Seneca Valley in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 38-14 score. In that contest, the Vikings amassed a halftime lead of 31-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
