Perrysburg came tearing into Wednesday's contest with 22 straight wins dating back to last season, and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Start Spartans with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Yellow Jackets also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Perrysburg never let Start on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-22, 25-7.

Perrysburg's offense was headlined by Trevor Madigan and Jacob Xiao, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Zach Gray and his 28 assists. Josiah Cook controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Perrysburg pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Start, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Perrysburg has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Steele on the 3rd. As for Start, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northwest Ohio Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
