Baseball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

After flying high against Maywood Academy last Wednesday, Lincoln came back down to earth. The Tigers took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bravo Knights on Wednesday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Raymond Baez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played.

Lincoln has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Bravo, their record is now 2-4.

While Lincoln had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
