Softball Recap: Westwood Panthers vs. Central Cobras
Westwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Central Cobras, falling 18-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cobras this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 back in March.
Westwood saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was DeVaria Dickerson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Westwood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Central, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-12.
Coincidentally, Westwood and Central will both be playing Port St. Lucie the next time they take the field. The Cobras will head out to face the Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Panthers will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
