Baseball Recap: Ottumwa Takes a Loss

Ottumwa lost against Iowa City on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs lost 11-1 to the Little Hawks. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly ten runs.

Ottumwa's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Iowa City, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 32-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ottumwa will square off against Roosevelt at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Iowa City, they will challenge Pleasant Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Little Hawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
