Football Recap: Mark Twain Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Mark Twain's offense. They were dealt a 52-0 defeat at the hands of the Salisbury Panthers on Friday. The Tigers lost against the Panthers in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 10-6 score last time.

Mark Twain dropped their record down to 1-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Salisbury, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Mark Twain will be playing in front of their home fans against Winfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Salisbury, they will head out to take on Fayette at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
