Soccer Recap: Sunnyside Comes Up Short

Sunnyside lost against Davis back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Pirates who were credited with the victory. The Davis Pirates got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Sunnyside Grizzlies' three. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Sunnyside's loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for Davis, they now have a winning record of 7-6-1.

Coincidentally, Sunnyside and Davis will both be playing West Valley the next time they take the pitch. The Grizzlies will host the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Pirates will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
