Basketball Recap: Cypress Piles Up the Points Against Colony

Cypress lost to Colony back in December of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Cypress Centurions blew past the Colony Titans 59-27. The match marked the Centurions' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Colony's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Desmond Flanagan, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 rebounds and nine blocks. Another player making a difference was Carter Johnson, who posted eight points.

Cypress' win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Colony, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Cypress didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-55 victory against Murrieta Valley on the 14th. Colony has also already played their next matchup, a 41-39 win against Sonora on the 14th.
