Volleyball Recap: Edwards Comes Up Short

After flying high against Humphreys County last Thursday, Edwards came back down to earth. The Tigers came up short against the Yazoo County Panthers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 two weeks ago.

Edwards' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6. As for Yazoo County, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Edwards is set to face off against their familiar foe O'Bannon at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Yazoo County will square off against rival Humphreys County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
