Soccer Game Preview: Mountain House vs. East Union

The Mountain House Mustangs will square off against the East Union Lancers at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Mountain House didn't have quite enough to beat Sierra and fell 3-2. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 591st, while the Timberwolves are ranked 236th).

Luis Gabriel Reynoso and Priyansh Nath scored both of Mountain House's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Meanwhile, East Union entered their contest against Patterson on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. East Union took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Patterson. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, the Lancers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Mountain House now has a losing record at 8-9-1. As for East Union, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4-6.
