Preview: Kennedy Eagles vs. Woodland Regional Hawks
Kennedy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Woodland Regional Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Kennedy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six contests.
Even though Wolcott scored an imposing 56 points on Wednesday, Kennedy still came out on top. Kennedy walked away with a 66-56 win over Wolcott.
Terrance Morrison continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tyler Morrison, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Woodland Regional posted their closest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Waterbury Career Academy and snuck past 73-70. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Kennedy's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Woodland Regional, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9.
Kennedy was able to grind out a solid win over Woodland Regional in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, winning 66-55. Will Kennedy repeat their success, or does Woodland Regional have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
