Softball Recap: Washington-Marion Comes Up Short

Washington-Marion fell victim to Leesville and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Wampus Cats, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wampus Cats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-17 back in March.

Washington-Marion has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season. As for Leesville, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Coming up, Washington-Marion will head out on the road to take on DeRidder at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Leesville, they will be playing at home against Oberlin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wampus Cats are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
