Basketball Recap: Nunamiut's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Nunamiut came tearing into Saturday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to the Nuiqsut Trapper Trappers for the full four quarters, racking up an 83-56 victory. The Amaguq have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Gordon is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Justus Mulcahy, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten steals.

Nunamiut pushed their record up to 14-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.1 points over those games. As for Nuiqsut Trapper, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.
