It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Langston Hughes Panthers ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 60-59 photo finish over South Paulding. Winning may never get old, but Langston Hughes sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Langston Hughes' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cameron Catholic led the charge by scoring 15 points along with six rebounds. The match was Catholic's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brentis Schaeffer, who scored 15 points along with three steals.

Langston Hughes pushed their record up to 7-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for South Paulding, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3.
