Baseball Recap: Redwood Finds Home Field Redemption Against Saint Francis

There's no place like home for Redwood, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Saint Francis Lancers 4-3 on Saturday.

Jake Post looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Redwood saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Gersch, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Another was Miles Harrison, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Redwood's victory bumped their record up to 12-8-1. As for Saint Francis, their loss ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 16-5.

Coincidentally, Redwood and Saint Francis will both be playing Petaluma the next time they take the field. The Lancers will host the Trojans at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Giants will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
