Basketball Recap: Pawnee/Calvary/Lutheran Takes a Loss

Pawnee/Calvary/Lutheran lost against Staunton back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Pawnee/Calvary/Lutheran fell 43-35 to the Staunton Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Pawnee/Calvary/Lutheran can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 288th, while Staunton is ranked 116th).

Pawnee/Calvary/Lutheran has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-13 record this season. As for Staunton, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 22-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pawnee/Calvary/Lutheran will square off against Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Staunton, they will face off against Southwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
