It was a good run, but Prairie unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 9-3 to the Capital Cougars. The Falcons were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Owen Dirks made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Prairie's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Capital, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-7.

Prairie didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-2 loss against Central Kitsap on the 14th. Capital does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
