Baseball Recap: Swett Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Swett had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Athenian Owls by a score of 4-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

James Gibson was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Swett is 11-0-1 when Gibson posts two or more runs, but 3-6-1 otherwise.

Swett's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Athenian, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 14-12 record.
