Softball Recap: Somerset Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Somerset walked away with it. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the John F. Kennedy Rockets 5-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Somerset pushed their record up to 16-12 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for John F. Kennedy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.
