The Lincoln-Way East Griffins will square off against the Curie Condors at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Lincoln-Way East's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
Lincoln-Way East pushed their score all the way to 59 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 67-59 to Bloom.
Meanwhile, Curie entered their tilt with Kenwood with 12 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 13. Curie took down Kenwood 68-49 on Thursday. Given Curie's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while Kenwood is ranked 26th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lincoln-Way East's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Curie, they pushed their record up to 17-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
