Christian School of York was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lancaster Mennonite only posted a batting average of .261.
Meanwhile, High Point Baptist Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Lancaster Mennonite on Thursday and fell 8-7.
High Point Baptist Academy saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reagan Wodicka, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double marked the first that Wodicka has hit this season.
Christian School of York has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for High Point Baptist Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Christian School of York has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like High Point Baptist Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
