Volleyball Recap: Lee Park Prep Comes Up Short

Lee Park Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the South Charlotte Thunder, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunder this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-13, 25-21.

Emma Shulenberger paced Lee Park Prep's offense, picking up nine kills. Shulenberger got some help from Addison Swann and her nine assists. Morgan Swann controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Lee Park Prep's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for South Charlotte, with the victory, they broke their ten-match losing streak and moved their record to 5-10.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lee Park Prep will challenge rival Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, South Charlotte is set to face off against their familiar foe Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
