Baseball Game Preview: Glenwood Titans vs. East Peoria Raiders

The Glenwood Titans will challenge the East Peoria Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Glenwood 3.7, East Peoria 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Glenwood's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over Lincoln. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Railsplitters: they've now won nine in a row.

Not much got past Andrew Wahlbrink, who gave up just four hits to keep Lincoln off the board. Wahlbrink has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Grady Mueller, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Quinten Hale was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for East Peoria's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Limestone on Wednesday.

East Peoria's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Glenwood, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
