Makenna Gray looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Bailey Dickerson, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Peedee Berry was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Manteo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive games.

Friday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Manteo has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .456. However, it's not like Currituck County struggles in that department as they've averaged .553. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
