Florence had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They really took it to the McLaurin Tigers for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-31 win. The Eagles pushed the score to 46-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers had little chance of recovering from.

Florence was led to victory by Kayne Ashley and Brandt Barlow. Ashley dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards, while Barlow shot 60% from beyond the arc to rack up 20 points. Ashley has also also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 45% every time he's hit the court this season. Caiden Boyd was another key player, putting up eight points.

Florence's record is now 5-1. As for McLaurin, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Florence will take on Richland at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Rangers at the right time seeing as the Rangers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for McLaurin, they will face off against Hazlehurst at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will be up against the Indians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.55 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
