Basketball Recap: Lakewood Christian Comes Up Short

Lakewood Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 56-21 defeat at the hands of Tulsa CHEF. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-20 back in December of 2024.

Justyce Walters continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tulsa CHEF, dropping a triple-double on 19 points, ten boards, and 12 steals. Those 12 steals gave Walters a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kelsey Mace, who posted eight points and five rebounds.

Lakewood Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Tulsa CHEF, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Lakewood Christian will take on Family of Faith Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tulsa CHEF, they and Union Christian Academy will face off at 4:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
