Softball Recap: Bishop Kenny Sets Scoring Season-High Against Trinity Christian Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop Kenny). They came out on top against the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors by a score of 20-17 on Monday. For the Crusaders, this counts as revenge for the 15-5 win the Conquerors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2018.

Ava Farnham was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Margaux Schuh, who scored four runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

Bishop Kenny always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .591. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Bishop Kenny's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Coming up, Bishop Kenny will take on Menendez at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they will square off against Bolles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Conquerors' favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while the Bulldogs have been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road.
