Basketball Recap: Mountain Home Comes Up Short

Mountain Home lost against Farmington back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mountain Home Bombers lost to the Farmington Cardinals on the road by a 62-44 margin. While losing is never fun, the Bombers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Cardinals are ranked tenth).

Mountain Home's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-12. As for Farmington, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain Home will head out to challenge Greenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Home is facing Greenwood at the right time seeing as Greenwood is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Farmington, they will venture away from home to face off against Van Buren at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Farmington knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matchups -- so hopefully Van Buren likes a good challenge.
