Baseball Game Preview: Gorham Rams vs. Bonny Eagle Scots

The Gorham Rams will square off against the Bonny Eagle Scots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gorham's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so Bonny Eagle's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Gorham is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Maine's top teams: Marshwood, who was ranked 13th at the time (Gorham was ranked 17th). The Rams took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks on Friday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bonny Eagle). They put the hurt on Portland with a sharp 15-8 win on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Scots needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Gorham's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Bonny Eagle, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.

Gorham took their win against Bonny Eagle in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 19-2 score. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Scots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
