Preview: Kelseyville Knights vs. Cloverdale Eagles
Kelseyville is 2-8 against Cloverdale since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Kelseyville Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Cloverdale Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Kelseyville's and Clear Lake's contest on Friday was close at halftime, but Kelseyville turned on the heat in the second half with 44 points. Kelseyville was the clear victor by a 80-59 margin over Clear Lake. The win made it back-to-back wins for Kelseyville.
Meanwhile, Cloverdale strolled past Lower Lake with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 69-53. 69 seems to be a good number for Cloverdale as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Jordan Patton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 30 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Kyle Garibaldi was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 17 rebounds.
Kelseyville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Cloverdale, their win bumped their record up to 12-10.
Kelseyville beat Cloverdale 57-49 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kelseyville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
