Basketball Recap: Olivia Ferguson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Mountain View

Stafford lost to Mountain View back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Stafford Indians came out on top against the Mountain View Wildcats by a score of 41-31. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Stafford's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Olivia Ferguson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds. Ferguson has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Annalise Mcconnell, who posted ten points and six rebounds.

Stafford smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in ten consecutive contests.

Stafford pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Mountain View, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
