Basketball Recap: Thunder Basin Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Campbell County

On Thursday, Thunder Basin faced Campbell County in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Thunder Basin Bolts fell just short of the Campbell County Camels by a score of 82-80. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (60), the Bolts still had to take the loss.

Campbell County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Truman Degrange, who went 7-for-10 en route to 24 points and five rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Degrange now owns an excellent 45.8% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Andela, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards.

Thunder Basin's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Campbell County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season.
